FIRE CHIEF’S ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL BANQUET
MASSO’S CATERING BALLROOM
January 9, 2020
The annual banquet was called to order by President Matt Cardile at 1912
hours, the group then saluted the flag had a moment of silence for our fallen
brothers and sisters, then the invocation was given by Chaplain Rev. Tim
Nessler.
Ed Johnson motion to dispense with the regular order of business, seconded
by Joe Petsch, motion passed.
President Cardile the welcomed everyone and introduced quests.
President Cardile then gave a few remarks on what he had accomplished
during his time as President.
President Cardile then called on Freeholder Christy to administer the Oath of
office to the 2020 Officers Association Officers, Freeholder Christy then
thanked all for their sacrifices and wished everyone a Happy and Healthy
New Year.
Dinner was then served by the staff at Masso’s.
President Murray asked Dan Baker to introduce the guest speaker: Chief
Jeremy Donch from National Fire Radio, who spoke on traditions n the fire
service and not to push the older members of the service aside.
President Murray then called upon the Memorial committee who conducted
a short memorial service to remember those who had passed away during
2019.
President Murray then called on the awards committee. The awards
committee had presented awards, from unit citations to Life Saving awards
and a Civilian Service Award.
President Murray then introduced the Past Presidents that were in attendance
tonight.
President Murray then called on the banquet committee who then awarded
door prizes and the large raffles.
President Murray then thanked the banquet committee for another job well
done on the banquet.
The place of the next meeting will be the Bridgeport Firehouse in Logan
Township on Thursday February 13

2020 at 1930 hours.
Motion made by Carmen Simonelli to adjourn, seconded by Ed Johnson,
motion passed.
The meeting adjourned at 21:10 hours.
