HAZ-MAT: During October the team completed their Level A
competencies. The team was invited to a drill in Pennsville, Salem County.
The team wants to thank Pat Robinson and the Paulsboro Refinery for
allowing a member of the team to accompany the refinery fire brigade to
Texas A&M for training.
GLOUCESTER COUNTY EMS: Chris Rosser reminded all that CPR
training and EMT CEU training are available monthly.
N. J. DIVISION OF FIRE SAFETY: No Report
N.J. STATE FIREMEN’S RELEIF ASSOCIATION:
There will be a special caucus for the Executive Committeeman to replace
Bill McNulty will be held on Thursday December 7
th
at the Clayton
Firehouse. Registration starts at 6 pm with the meeting taking place at 7 pm.
President Cardile and others are concerned that there is a problem with
parking and that the room for the meeting at Clayton may not be big enough.
The executive board will be reaching out to the State to possibly move the
meeting. Any change will be distributed by a few different means.
N.J. FIREMENS HOME: Harry Strube stated that the homes 2018-2019
budget has been approved by the State just awaiting the Governor’s
signature.
N.J. EXEMPT ASSOCIATION: Glenn Roemmich the convention in 2018
will be held in August in Phillipsburg. The Annual Memorial service will
be held in Old Bridge in April at Rev. Kevin Davis’s new church.
LAW & LEGISLATION: Frank Lambing had nothing to report.
BANQUET COMMITTEE: It was reported that more banquet tickets were
being ordered. They will be available at the next meeting. The cost of the
new tickets was being taken care of by Joe Petsch of the Franklin Alarm
Company. The guest speaker will be N.J. State Trooper Captain Bob Linden
who was in Puerto Rico for the cleanup after the hurricane.
AWARDS COMMITTEE: The group was advised that
anyone with nominations for awards should have them to the committee
before the December meeting or bring them to the December meeting. The
award period runs from December 2016 to the end of November.
