President Cardile was going to contact the County OEM to get a contact to
discuss the issue with.
Chief Baldasaro brought up a safety issue that once a fire agency is
dispatched since we are now on the 700 frequency there is no way for
responding personnel to know if an assignment has been recalled while they
are responding to the station. President Cardile will bring the issue to the
radio advisory group.
Chief Scott brought up a safety issue that once responding units arrive on the
scene of an incident they are to switch their radios to the fire ground
channel, except for the Incident Commander, while on the fire ground
channel the Communications Center will not hear if the emergency button
has been hit on the radio. Also the evacuation tone has not been going over
the fire ground channel.
Chief Gould advised that he has had a problem with the new radio system
not being able to be heard while in service in some of the buildings that he
has responded to.
A question was asked if Law Enforcement was having an issue but they
